Job Brief:
We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee our accounting department and manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial management, and leadership. This role requires strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and initiatives.
- Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in financial management processes.
Key Requirements – Technical
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or corporate finance, preferably within the Hospitality/Service industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPD, CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
- Mastering financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow, and equity changes
- Understanding the applicable tax regulations
- Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of financial data
- Strong proficiency in financial consolidation, accounting, and compliance (audits from tax offices and public accounting firms).
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian reporting standards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in cash flow management and budgeting processes.
