We are currently seeking high talented and motivated people to join our team with establishments :

  1. Pastry Sous Chef

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning of foods budgets and forecast pertaining to the Pastry Kitchen
  • Produce all Pastry goods from scratch as required by the menu
  • Assist Executive Chef in developing standard recipes and techniques for goods preparation and presentation. Help assure consistency, high quality and manage food cost down to component level.
  • Discuss with the Executive Chef on the choice of Pastry Kitchen or Bakery equipment. Control standards of food production and presentation throughout the hotel.
  • Manage all HACCP requirements in line with company procedures.
  • Liaise with Executive Chef on customer satisfaction to enable continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven skill in baking, pastry preparation and decoration
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety procedures for kitchens and food preparation areas
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • A food hygiene certificate or any food handling or preparation qualification
  • Ability to calculate costs and manage a budget
