Job description – Chef
Villa Agape in Kerobokan, Bali is looking for a talented and enthusiastic trained chef to manage meals Monday – Friday. Cuisine – mostly Indonesian, with some western/Asian dishes for variety (recipes can be provided).
Role:
- Meal planning,
- Selecting recipes,
- Placing orders via WhatsApp,
- Cooking meals,
- Prepping for future meals,
- Maintaining stock of healthy, homemade alternatives to unhealthy packaged and bottled foods.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experiences in similar position,
- Fluent in English,
- Basic understanding of health, in particular, gut health is important.
- Knowledge of how to make fermented foods and drinks such as kombucha, sourdough, pickles/fermented vegetables would be highly regarded, but can also be taught to the successful applicant.
- Knowledge of food safety is imperative. The successful applicant will be expected to wash, prep and store ingredients correctly, and to maintain a clean kitchen.
- Motivated and uses their initiative to create enjoyable and healthy meals, and to think ahead to future meals to save ingredients and use up leftovers.
Days and hours:
- Monday – Friday, with 45 minute lunch break:
- 10:30am – 6:30pm Monday to Thursday
- 10:30am – 3pm Friday
