Unique opportunity
The Activities Manager will be the primary liaison between Kaura Bali and the local communities; you will be responsible for developing and managing activities that take place in surrounding villages, such as massage and traditional treatments, village walks, a-day-in-the-life-of-a-farmer experiences, e-cycling, hiking and waterfall visits. The role requires an individual with the ability to coordinate and operate experiences that are both cultural and fun.
You must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with our guests on a personal level. The successful candidate must be highly organised, have a great eye for detail, and be able to work well with the Kaura Bali team and Manggis community.
Responsibilities
- Help guests to plan and arrange activities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key members of the local Manggis community
- Coordinate the operation of activities in surrounding villages (e.g. massage and traditional treatments, village walks, a-day-in-the-life-of-a-farmer experiences, biking, hiking, waterfalls, etc.)
- Assist in the development of experiences that are both culturally authentic and fun
- Assign and roster community guides – assist with the development and training of community guides and experience hosts
- Help guests arrange transportation and other logistics
- Ensure all activities run safely and smoothly
- Participate in product and sales training for sales partners and travel agents
Requirements
- Fluent in Balinese and English
- Willing to relocate to a semi remote area of Bali for a minimum of 1 year and embrace local life.
- Guest relations or front office experience
- Ability to execute activities for guests, leveraging a group of community guides
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS O365
